New Architecture for More Power and Performance
IntelliCAD 7 from the IntelliCAD Technology Consortium (ITC) is a powerful 2D and 3D computer-aided-design (CAD) platform for software companies designing and distributing products for engineers, architects, designers and drafters. IntelliCAD supports some of the most popular applications for surveyors and architects. When you see the "Powered by IntelliCAD" logo, you know you are getting the most power and value for your money.
Anyone who creates, edits, or views professional drawings will appreciate the power and value of IntelliCAD. It set the standard for affordable CAD software offering full DWG compatibility and familiar commands and programming languages. Anyone who has used the Autodesk® AutoCAD® software will easily learn to use IntelliCAD.
DWG file compatibility
IntelliCAD 7 uses DWGDirect from the Open Design Alliance (ODA) as its native database. IntelliCAD opens, edits, and saves any DWG file from Version 2.5 through 2010 without conversion or data loss. IntelliCAD is compatible with the Autodesk® AutoCAD® command set, and programming APIs, such as AutoLISP and ADS (AutoCAD Development System) interface.
Powerful Development Environment
Applications built for use with AutoCAD can be converted for use with IntelliCAD using a familiar set of powerful programming languages. The Solutions Development System or SDS is a C/C++ language interface compatible with the ADS interface.
IntelliCAD includes a VBA and VSTA object models to create prototype applications. IntelliCAD 7 supports the DRX object oriented C++ programming language from the ODA which is similar to the Autodesk ObjectARX language. IntelliCAD also provides additional DRX extensions and extensive examples for developing complex object oriented vertical solutions.
Enhanced Support for Custom Objects
Support for Autodesk Architecture models using the ODA ADTDirect Object Handler allows users to display and edit custom architectural entities such as walls, doors, windows, etc.. The DRX language allows users to programmatically create new architectural objects using standard wall, door and window styles or create custom object styles and custom grips.
