Portland, OR — August 4, 2026 — The IntelliCAD Technology Consortium (ITC) today announced the release of IntelliCAD 15.0, a major release that pairs a long-awaited LISP milestone with a first look at AI-assisted CAD workflows and a new Drawing Compare feature preview.

As feature previews, IntelliCAD 15.0 introduces two forward-looking feature previews. The new Drawing Compare command lets users compare two drawings side by side, with differences highlighted visually so changes are easy to spot and review. And for IntelliCAD versions that support AI, a new AI feature preview lets users interact with a drawing using plain language: asking questions, selecting entities, pulling information out of a drawing, and even generating and running custom LISP programs from a simple prompt, using Anthropic® Claude®, Google® Antigravity™, or OpenAI™ ChatGPT®.

IntelliCAD 15.0 also marks the completion of a multi-year modernization of the LISP engine. IntelliCAD 14.1 introduced support for loading protected LISP applications in FAS and VLX formats; with the new VLISP-COMPILE function and Make LISP Application command, members can now both compile and load protected LISP applications. With this release, the new LISP API is complete, and the legacy LISP engine has officially been retired, giving developers a cleaner, more capable foundation to build on going forward.

Beyond LISP, IntelliCAD 15.0 adds further enhancements across its developer APIs, giving members more power and flexibility when building and extending IntelliCAD-based applications. The BIM and DGN Special Interest Groups also continued to push IntelliCAD's industry-specific capabilities forward, and the release rounds out with a broad set of performance improvements and user interface refinements throughout the program.

Shawn Lindsay, President of the IntelliCAD Technology Consortium, stated:

"IntelliCAD 15.0 is a milestone release for us. Completing the LISP engine modernization gives our members a stronger foundation to build on, and our new AI and Drawing Compare feature previews give them an early look at where we're headed next."
