We’re pleased to announce that registration is now open for IntelliCAD World 2025, taking place October 20–22 at the Royal Hotel Seoul, located in the heart of South Korea’s capital.

This three-day event brings together IntelliCAD members, developers, partners, and technical leaders for a focused and collaborative conference featuring in-depth product updates, strategic discussions, and community engagement.

About the Conference

IntelliCAD World is the IntelliCAD community’s most important annual gathering. It’s designed to inform, connect, and align members around shared goals and opportunities.

This year’s program will feature:

• Keynote
• Special recognition of Dave Lorenzo
• Technical updates on IntelliCAD 14.0 and 14.1
• Explorations into new technologies: AI, icARX and more
• Tech stack deep dives
• Special Interest Group (SIG) updates: UI, Mobile, BIM and DGN
• Panel discussion: IntelliCAD 15 roadmap and priorities 
• Member showcases and implementation stories

Registration Fee: $99 USD

To help cover core conference services and materials, we’re asking attendees to pay a modest registration fee of $99 USD.

This includes:

• A welcome gift bag
• Daily coffee breaks, lunch, and refreshments
• Full access to all conference sessions and presentations
• 1-on-1 access to IntelliCAD developers and technical experts
• Post-event access to digital materials and follow-up resources

Note: You will not be charged at the time of registration. Payment instructions will be shared closer to the event. The fee is waived for directors of the ITC.

Networking and Optional Activities

In addition to the main sessions, we’re planning:

• An Informal Welcome Gathering on the evening of October 20
• A Closing Reception on October 22
• An Optional Group Excursion on October 23

Please note that these activities are not included in the $99 registration fee. Our goal is to provide the welcome gathering and closing reception at no additional charge; however, this is pending final confirmation. Invitations to RSVP for these activities will be sent in a follow-up email.

Travel & Venue

The conference will be hosted at the Royal Hotel Seoul, in the walkable and lively Myeongdong District, surrounded by shops, restaurants, and major landmarks.

Please note: We were unable to reserve a block of rooms for this event.

We recommend that attendees book directly with the Royal Hotel or through their preferred travel booking platform.

Additional notes:

• Attendees are responsible for their own travel and accommodations.
• Airport transportation is not provided.

Many thanks go to ITC member ACCA Software who hosted this year's IntelliCAD World 2019. ITC employees, members, and CAD professionals gathered at ACCA headquarters in Bagnoli Irpino, Italy to exchange ideas, share strategies, and discuss future trends. From coordination and transportation to an exclusive tour of historical sites, it's clear that ACCA does everything with flawless care and enthusiasm.

ACCA specializes in BIM solutions that include architecture, engineering, and construction components and are especially designed for users who want freedom of collaboration and full data availability. What was happening at IntelliCAD World 2019? For those who weren't in southern Italy at the conference, watch to find out:

Topics include history of how the ITC started; it's been 20 years! And visions for the future, new features, and member technologies based on IntelliCAD. 

Several members of the Open Design Alliance (ODA) team arrived in southern Italy after ODA DevCon last week in Milan to give an update on ODA technologies, including Drawings, BimRv, and IFC SDKs, and also the ODA Technology Stack.

Sergey Vishnevetsky, ODA Director of Development, commented that it was great to see new ODA features already implemented in IntelliCAD. Also he was happy to report that they had been working on common properties functionality thanks to ITC requests. Common data access to all supported ODA formats includes access to both the model tree and properties. The model tree structure is still in-progress, but common properties are in production currently.

We also heard about ODA's strategic partnership with buildingSMART. This is exciting news for several reasons, one being that the ITC is in the process of transitioning to ODA IFC SDK for IntelliCAD's current IFC support. 

What's been happening lately with the IntelliCAD engine? And what's next?

Here's what we learned at IntelliCAD World 2019:

• IntelliCAD 9.1 and 9.2 were released earlier this year. We saw demos of many new features that are trending as important for ITC members: digital signatures, new architectural entities, customizable start page, system variable monitor, STEP and IGES support, Overkill command, and many more.
• BIM solutions for IntelliCAD: attach .rvt/.rfa and .ifc files as underlays and work with BIM data. Architectural objects are already in the mix too, and soon will even be exportable to .ifc files using ODA IFC libraries.
• IntelliCAD Mobile is gaining new ITC member interest and the Special Interest Group is growing. IntelliCAD Mobile can view and navigate various file types: drawings (.dwg, .dwt, .dxf), Design Web Format (.dwf), Open COLLADA™ (.dae), and images (.png, .jpeg, .tiff, etc.). Many new features are being developed for the next mobile version, including plans for voice recording and more measurement tools.
• Sneak peak at IntelliCAD 10 which is in development now, based on the latest ODA libraries. Specifically we got a look at geographic locations and new visual styles that will be available by integration with OpenGL ES2. Lots of other features coming up.
• The latest version of ARTISAN was also demonstrated by Clive Davies of Pictorex. ARTISAN is a photorealistic renderer that is integrated with IntelliCAD and available for ITC member licensing.

At IntelliCAD World 2019 we heard from ITC President, David Lorenzo, setting the tone for upcoming presentations and discussions. Here are the highlights:

• Twenty years ago when the ITC and also the ODA were initiated by Visio Corporation, the purpose was to create trusted, open CAD technology. 
• A question was posed:
  Without the ITC and ODA, what would have happened in the CAD industry over the past twenty years?
• The original purpose of a trusted, open CAD technology is still valid today, not only with traditional CAD platforms but also in the future with digital platforms.
• Be vigilant, and we are not done yet.

Today kicks off the event with one-to-one developer meetings. Tomorrow we'll hear from ITC President, David Lorenzo, talking about the ITC at 20 — twenty years of member-driven collaboration and competition. And more, of course.

This year IntelliCAD World Conference will be held near Naples in southern Italy, September 16 to 18, 2019.

• September 16, Monday: Developers meet one-on-one with ITC developers.
• September 17, Tuesday: ITC presentations, panel discussion.
• September 18, Wednesday: Member presentations and exploration of commercial collaboration opportunities; additional one-on-one developer collaboration meetings as required.
  

Registration for the conference is free. Simply register and arrange your own travel and accommodations with the conference hotel in Avellino. Conference attendees will take the complimentary shuttle between the hotel and conference.
