We are pleased to announce the release of IntelliCAD Mobile 2.0, now available for Android™ and Windows® Desktop.
IntelliCAD Mobile is a development platform that gives ITC members a proven foundation for building mobile CAD solutions. Rather than investing the time and resources to assemble a multi-platform mobile stack from scratch, members can build on IntelliCAD Mobile and focus on what makes their product unique. The platform handles DWG compatibility, rendering, and core CAD interaction across Android and Windows Desktop, so developers can get to market faster.
What's New in 2.0
Version 2.0 adds four new capabilities that developers can build on or expose directly to their users:
- Area measurement — Measure areas directly in the drawing.
- Freeze/thaw layers — Control layer visibility on the fly.
- GEO object display — View drawings that include geographic data.
- Undo/Redo — Step back through actions without losing your work.
This release also includes a round of quality improvements: better UI layout on small screens, corrected entity snap behavior on mobile devices, Android dark theme fixes, and general rendering improvements. The underlying platform has been updated to Open Design Alliance SDK 2025.12 and Qt 6.10.
Supported File Formats
IntelliCAD Mobile 2.0 opens DWG, DXF, DWF, ACIS (.sat), OpenCOLLADA (.dae), and raster image files, as well as drawings containing AutoCAD® Architecture, Civil 3D, and Mechanical objects, and drawings with external references and PDF underlays.

IntelliCAD Mobile 2.0 is currently available for Android and Windows Desktop.
Members Already Shipping
ITC members are building and shipping commercial products on IntelliCAD Mobile today. Two examples:
ETOOLBOX® Mobile CAD Viewer from CAD-Manufacturing Solutions, Inc., is a free DWG viewer for Android and Windows that gives users private, secure access to drawing files on mobile devices and cloud folders — no file uploads required. Available on Google Play and directly from CMS.
Carlson Layout from Carlson Software is a streamlined, Android-based field layout and data collection solution that delivers fast, efficient layout capabilities to construction professionals using total stations or GPS receivers. It is built on the IntelliCAD Mobile platform.
These are two examples of what is possible with the IntelliCAD Mobile platform.
Build on IntelliCAD Mobile
IntelliCAD Mobile is available to ITC members through the Mobile Platform Special Interest Group. Membership in the SIG gives you access to the platform, the development community, and the shared roadmap that members shape together.
