Portland, Oregon — December 5, 2025 — The IntelliCAD Technology Consortium (ITC), an international CAD software technology alliance, announced it filed suit today against China-based ZWSOFT Co., LTD. (Guangzhou) (“ZW”) and South Korea-based ZYX Technology Co., formerly known as Nitrosoft Co., Ltd. (“ZYX Tech”) alleging unauthorized use and distribution of ITC’s IntelliCAD® software technology. ITC’s claims include copyright infringement, trade secret misappropriation, unjust enrichment, and breach of contract. In the suit, ITC alleges ZYX Tech was and is selling, distributing, and/or donating “ZyxCAD,” a rebranded version of ZW’s “ZwCAD,” on a large scale and without proper authorization. Additionally, ITC asserts ZW has granted licensing rights for or software access to ITC’s proprietary software to ZYX Tech in a manner that violates ZW’s contractual obligations to ITC.
According to public reports and statements, ZYX Tech has been marketing and distributing ZyxCAD in South Korea for several years. ITC claims ZYX Tech has been distributing software containing IntelliCAD technology without any license from ITC.
Additionally, ITC claims ZYX Tech has misrepresented ZyxCAD to public, governmental, educational, and private institutions as being Korean-originated, and not Chinese-originated software. ITC further asserts ZW has refused to participate in an audit of its software, as it is contractually required to do.
ITC president Shawn Lindsay stated, “ITC has recently and successfully enforced its contractual and intellectual property rights in China, and we will continue to take all necessary actions to ensure that our members’ investments and rights are protected, including action against organizations and end users that received unauthorized IntelliCAD technology.”
