Carlson Software has announced that their in-person user conference will be back in 2022! Save the date for April 4-6, 2022 in Denver, Colorado. The Carlson user conference typically offers many educational sessions that cover a variety of industries, products, and workflows.

Seven western US states are hosting the upcoming Western Regional Virtual Survey Conference from March 27-30, 2021. Jennifer DiBona of That CAD Girl is speaking and demonstrating Carlson Software throughout the conference, and DiBona will be joined by ITC President, David Lorenzo, for a session on Monday.

Carlson iCAD 2021 is available at a low-cost perpetual license for 2D and 3D CAD modeling. The software can open and save .dwg, .dgn, and .dxf files in 2017 and earlier formats. It can also import and export other format models including .pdf, .iges, and .step and can convert AutoCAD® Civil 3D® custom objects to standard CAD entities.

Got GeoTIFF files? Carlson users are bringing drone images from Carlson PhotoCapture into Carlson Point Cloud for greater accuracy in land development projects. In a video from Carlson, you can watch GeoTIFF files be inserted into Carlson Point Cloud, which is based on the IntelliCAD engine, and then used with ground control points for surveying a driveway culvert site.

Carlson Software has released their Carlson 2021 product line update with IntelliCAD 10, bringing users in the land surveying, civil engineering, and mining industries new features, faster performance, and increased compatibility.

Highlights include photogrammetry in Carlson Survey, the ability to insert and manipulate BIM models in Carlson CADnet, and support of ODBC and ESRI File GeoDatabase databases in Carlson GIS.

In response to the COVID-19 crisis, ITC member Carlson Software cancelled its Go West Conference that was originally scheduled for April 20-22, 2020. If you were registered to attend the Carlson Go West Conference, you can transfer your registration to next year's conference and receive a discount on Carlson support, or you can receive a free Carlson software module.

Next year's Carlson conference is already scheduled for May 4-6, 2021 in Maysville, Kentucky. Save the date!

ITC President David Lorenzo will be the keynote speaker at Carlson Software's "Go West" user conference April 20-22, 2020 in Portland, OR. The conference offers more than 60 educational sessions crossing a variety of industries, products, and workflows.
