IntelliCAD used by MicroSurvey in Mapping, Accident Reconstruction, Forensics, Civil, and Survey

microsurvey-mscad2016-survey1.png

MicroSurvey Software Inc. — member of the ITC — delivers its many IntelliCAD-based applications to land surveyors, civil engineers, seismic surveyors, mapping professionals, police officers, and accident reconstruction specialists. There are many different CAD development platforms available, but year after year MicroSurvey chooses IntelliCAD because it is the only open source, non-profit, cooperative CAD development platform.

IntelliCAD Co-op is the foundation for our civil, survey and forensic CAD applications. IntelliCAD provides a familiar CAD interface for our users and familiar development APIs for our developers. In addition to the standard APIs, IntelliCAD Co-op provides complete source access at the core level that has enabled new solutions we could not create on any other CAD platform. – Jason Poitras, General Manager MicroSurvey, ITC Secretary

The IntelliCAD Technology Consortium Announces New Leadership

May 26, 2009 | Portland, OR

The IntelliCAD Technology Consortium (ITC) (http://www.intellicad.org/) announces the election of Robert McGill as ITC President and Cliff Petersohn as ITC Chairman of the Board. These elections took place at the recent annual ITC Board of Directors meeting in Leiden, The Netherlands.

Mr. McGill comes to the ITC having held senior management roles at SolidWorks, CAMAX, CADAM and Computervision. He is a strong proponent of component software and partnering to accelerate technology. Mr. McGill joined the ITC in 2008 as Business Development Director, responsible for increasing the number of vertical applications on the IntelliCAD platform and improving the marketing reach of the ITC. "Our focus at the ITC is to deliver a top quality IntelliCAD product and to work with our members to maximize their success," stated Mr. McGill.

Mr. Petersohn is a senior development manager with Carlson Software, a leader in surveying and civil engineering software. Mr. Petersohn is a noted expert in CAD and GIS system platforms including client-server architectures. Mr. Petersohn has served on the Board of Directors of the ITC since October 2008. "The ITC has clearly defined goals and direction," stated Mr. Petersohn, "and I'm confident it will continue to grow with the support of its members and deliver the highest performing and most affordable CAD-based software platform on the market."

When asked about the outlook for the ITC, Mr. McGill stated, "A down economy favors the value leader, and the ITC and the IntelliCAD platform offer tremendous value to companies developing high performance CAD solutions. As a not-for-profit organization, the ITC is unique in the industry. We don't sell to end users and we don't carry the marketing and sales overhead of our competitors. Over 70% of our revenue goes into research and development. No other company delivers a commercial CAD application platform at a better price."

With support from its new leadership the ITC is streamlining its sales and marketing efforts, and leveraging the resources of its member companies to deliver a robust professional CAD application platform.
